For many people learning how to play golf
has had an immeasurable impact on their lives.
From the joy of feeling a well-struck shot,
to friends made through friendly or intense
competition, to the rehabilitative benefits
that golf can produce, it is a great game
for anyone to learn, especially someone with
a disability. Wanting to increase the number
of players in the game is one of the goals
of the USGA Foundation. Operating the Resource
center is a new and important means for creating
interest and providing information to people
with disabilities who may be interested in
beginning to learn about the game and how
to play, or who have recently become disabled
and are interested in returning to playing
the game.
In this section of the Resource Center Web
site, you will information you will need to
get started in learning/relearning how to
play golf, including a database of instructors
who have experience teaching golf to individuals
with disabilities, a listing of introductory
program, information on adaptive golf equipment
and much more.
